RTB Intelligence Engine: smarter prices, with hard limits.
The RTB Intelligence Engine adds machine-learning bid shading for buyers and dynamic floor prices for sellers, running inside the bidder. Inference is local, so there's no external call at bid time. Price moves are capped, it falls back automatically to existing logic, and it's rolled out on a slice of traffic first.
The problem
Fixed bids overpay on the buy side; fixed floors leave money on the table on the sell side. Pricing has to adapt in milliseconds, which leaves no time for a person or an external API.
How it works
| Side | What it does |
|---|---|
| Buyers (DSP) | Bid shading: predicts the lowest bid likely to win, to lower cost per win |
| Sellers (SSP) | Dynamic floors: sets floor prices that track the real value of inventory |
The controls
| Control | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Local inference | No external call at bid time, so no added latency or outside dependency |
| Caps on price moves | The model can't swing prices beyond agreed limits |
| Automatic fallback | If the model is unavailable, the existing pricing logic runs |
| A/B rollout | Tested on a slice of traffic before it goes wider |
The result
For buyers, lower cost per win; for sellers, floors that track real inventory value. Results depend on traffic and market, so each deployment is measured through its own A/B rollout. We don't publish client figures.
Limits
Models need enough traffic to learn from, and market shifts require retraining. The caps and fallback exist because a pricing model will sometimes be wrong.
Frequently asked
Does it slow down bidding?
No. Inference runs locally inside the bidder.
What if the model misbehaves?
Price moves are capped, and it falls back to existing logic.
How do we know it works for us?
An A/B rollout on a slice of your own traffic.
See it running.
